Each course of your wedding breakfast will be served as a banquet to the table on platters, allowing your guests to help themselves to the dishes you have chosen. Please choose one starter, three main courses, including a vegetarian selection and one dessert.


Antipasti: Milano salami, mortadella, prosciutto, chorizo, Chew Valley smoked chicken, Lye Cross Cheddar, basil pesto bocconcini, asparagus, aubergine fritter, marinated artichoke hearts, mixed olives, aioli & ciabatta.  

Somerset platter: Wookey Hole cave aged Cheddar, Somerset Brie, Traditional Pork Pie, Somerset glazed ham, roasted belly pork with cider chutney, heritage tomato and goat’s cheese quiche, pickled vegetables, asparagus, rapeseed oil and spelt bread  

Tapas platter: Marinated chilli and garlic king prawns, pan fried chorizo sausage, calamari, beef and oregano meatballs, sundried tomato and pepper frittata, peppadew stuffed with feta and basil, marinated artichokes, mixed olives and focaccia bread

Seafood platter: Chew Valley smoked trout, salmon & samphire fishcakes, sweet chilli and lime marinated prawns, cured mackerel fillets, dill and caper mayonnaise, pickled cucumbers, granary bread, watercress and baby leaf salad


Somerset roasted sirloin of beef with roasted potatoes, carrots and horseradish

Moroccan lamb tagine with coriander couscous, roasted aubergines, red onion, courgettes with mint, chick pea salad and flat bread

Rolled leg of lamb roasted with garlic and lemon, gratin potato and mint sauce

Whole lemon roasted chicken stuffed with herb tabbouleh served with a peppadew and rocket salad, cucumber tsatsiki

Home smoked loin of pork with crackling, sweet potato gratin, green apple and pine nut salad

Fillet of sea bass with paprika & lemon new potatoes, cherry tomato salsa

Sweet potato gnocchi with pine nuts, sun blushed tomato pesto, parmesan and capers

 Wild mushroom and thyme risotto with grilled asparagus, lemon and mascarpone

Cedar-baked salmon with a tarragon herb crust and lemon infused potatoes

 All served with either a selection of seasonal vegetables or leaf salad


Chocolate brulée, dark chocolate brownie and white chocolate mousse

Lemon meringue, lime cheesecake, lemon drizzle cake

Cider apple bavarois, sweet apple beignet, apple caramel tart

Maple and pecan pie, hazelnut and vanilla crème brulée, pistachio mascarpone mousse

Macchiato amaretto mousse, mocha  crème brulée, mascarpone coffee cake

Champagne and raspberry jelly, strawberry panna cotta and summer fruit pudding

Cassis delice, elderflower brulée and blackcurrant meringue


Coombe lodge afternoon tea cake stand: scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam, carrot cake, chocolate and cherry brownie and salted caramel choux buns
