Matt

Head Gardener

Matt is originally from Devon where he attended Bicton & Carrington Horticultural collage. He now lives in South Bristol and joined our Coombe Lodge Family in 2023.

When you meet Matt you will realise he is most happiest when gardening. He loves doing exactly this in his spare time with his son and fiancé at home on a sunny day. Or you might catch him out paddle boarding around the Devon coastline!

 He has a great vision and is looking forward to putting his stamp on the Coombe Lodge Gardens.

Favourite season?

This has to be Spring! I love watching everything come to life and seeing the fruits of all my hard work over winter!

Favourite Flower?

That is the British Native Primrose or Dahlia's for their funky flowers.

Fun Fact about yourself:

I am still quite good on a skateboard (arthritis depending!)
